We all have been waiting for release date for the new Pop OS update for a long time, and finally today is the day when System76 released Pop OS 21.04 update with the all new beautiful “Cosmic” Desktop Environment with Download .iso Link.
In this new Pop OS 21.04 we get to see a new cosmic desktop environment, which was specially created by system76 to replace GNOME 40 UI, Pop!_OS 21.04 is designed with COSMIC to have a minimal amount of clutter on the desktop without distractions in order to allow the user to focus on work, Pop!_OS 21.04, redesigned dock to work and provide helpful trackpad gestures,,Additional information is provided in the project’s relese announcement

Upgrade exiting Pop OS 20.10 with Pop OS 21.04
As we all know, Pop OS 20.10 is based on Ubuntu 20.10, Once 20.10 goes EOL next month, you will no longer receive new security updates until your operating system is upgraded to the newest version, 21.04
IN TERMINAL
Open Terminal from your desktop or with Super + T. To make sure you’re fully updated before upgrading, use the commands below one at a time, pressing Enter after each.
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgradeYou’ll be prompted to enter your password, which will be cloaked in invisible ink as you type. This is normal. Once the process is finished, run the following command:
pop-upgrade release upgrade
