It is designed as a live system for use on USB sticks or DVDs and specializes in anonymity and the protection of the privacy of its users. Linux 5.10 LTS and Debian 10.10 »Buster« serve as the basis for Tails 4.22.

Connection assistant upgraded

The new connection wizard to the Tor network introduced with Tails 4.20 will be expanded with Tails 4.22. As can be seen in the release notes , efforts, in addition to debugging, were aimed at making the wizard more robust for slow connections and, overall, more user-friendly. The interface for user-defined Tor bridges has been changed so that only one bridge can be entered and only one user-defined bridge in persistent storage can be saved .
